This is a great book that has helped me find that inner peace we are all looking for in our daily lives. It comes with simple yoga stances and meditation techniques that will help almost everyone on a daily basis. Overall I am very pleased with this book and my healthier outlook I have on my life now. Would I recommend this to other people? Yes, I would including friends and family... I absolutely think this is great book. All opinions are my own and they are not influenced by anyone but myself.
The sections of the book are beautifully laid out with illustrations of the yoga poses and helpful tips to get into the poses. The book is well organized and the photographs are very well done. There is a helpful visual index of poses at the end which is great when working through routines. And speaking of routines, there is a good variety including routines for morning, afternoon and evening as well as different lengths of time making it easy to choose something that is appropriate for a given time period. With the digital version, I could quickly flip through the pages to find the pose I want based on the illustrations.
I was really skeptical to get this book, because I did not think that yoga would be easy to taught in the written form. I go to yoga classes, and follow videos, and I've read a few books on it, but these book always fell short. This book is the only exception as it effectively guides both your body and mind through yoga. The illustrations are super helpful and a must for any yoga book. This book also teaches you a good amount of poses, which are diverse enough to satisfy both beginners and help even more advanced yoga practitioners improve. Thank you!
I have never been a great fan of yoga. I am one o f those who prefers loud noise and a lot of jumping... But a recent health issue forced me to look into alternatives that allowed me to keep by body (and mind!) in shape while minimizing the impact on my joints. Then I came across this website, PaybackGift and saw this handbook which caught my attention so I immediately purchase. I love it! The looks of the book with illustrations that invite to attempt (and succeed at) the very many poses. It introduces to the full meaning of yoga and its practice as well as it describes specifically Asana, Breathing, and Meditation Practices.
I have been really interested in learning about yoga and really can't afford to take classes, this is such a great alternative. The book was informative and helpful and felt like I was being taught by a friend. It was an easy read and had tons of great information. The book covers the basics, poses, combos, everything that i need as a beginner. Good, solid, informative!
